Privacy policy (draft)

Draft pending legal review. Operator: working-name project “Tax Readiness MVP” (legal entity in formation).

What we collect

• Checker answers: your state, filing-status category, income categories, profession category and yes/no answers about your tax situation and records.
• Email address — only if you join the waitlist.
• Marketing attribution (UTM parameters) and basic technical data.

What we never ask for

SSN/ITIN, EIN, tax forms (W-2/1099), exact income or tax amounts, bank or card details, dependent information, employer names, or tax return documents. Inputs are screened server-side and submissions containing such data are rejected.

How we use it

• To show your readiness result and generate your checklist.
• To understand demand (aggregate statistics).
• To email you waitlist updates — only after double opt-in, with one-click unsubscribe in every email.

We do not sell personal data. We use no third-party advertising pixels or session-replay tools on checker pages. Service providers: hosting, database and (for waitlist emails) an email delivery provider.

Deletion and contact

To delete your data, use the delete-my-data page — a confirmation link goes to your email, and clicking it removes your waitlist entry and linked checker answers. For questions, email privacy@example.com (placeholder — final address arrives with the legal entity). Anonymous checker sessions not linked to a waitlist signup are purged after 90 days.
